Zihuatanejo, Guerrero., March 1st 2018.- Within the framework of the activities regarding Environmental Education, the direction of the Environment and the Natural resources of the government, that president Homero Rodríguez Rodríguez leads, realized a series of conversations and walks with tourists native of various parts of the republic and pupils of educational institutions with the aim to making known the attractions of this beach destination.
Interviewed on this matter, the manager of this department, Gustavo Adolfo Gurrión Maldonado, detailed that on last Tuesday the region’s staff worked with 107 tourists coming from the State of Morelos, to whom an interview was given onto the official limitations on the use and the care of beaches, the same which were qualified by the visitors as extraordinary, congratulating the direction on the realized work.
Besides, he informed that with the workers of the various companies of Ixtapa and Zihuatanejo, pupils realize walks in mangrove, so they learn how the turtles lay and how they are freed.
Gurrión Maldonado said that a program already exists for the development of these activities. Indeed, every Tuesday, interviews are given with groups of tourists, where we teach them what already happens in the region to maintain beaches in a good condition. For other planned activities, days can vary.
